: The world's most exciting soccer player is turned into a cartoon action
: figure in this fun and exciting soccer adventure game. Utilising
: Beckham's fab footie skills you must take on an entire army of nasty
: opponents as you battle to defeat the evil Mr Woe and free the Islander
: from his terrible spell!

: Oh, he thinks he's so big and clever does the malevolent Mister Woe. For
: years he's lived alone on his own island - a silent, bleak and angular
: place neighbouring Soccer Island.
:
: But Mister Woe has been growing more bitter and twisted by the day - ever
: since the Soccer Islanders decided they'd had enough and wouldn't let
: him play with them any longer because all he did was play rough and
: cheat.
:
: At first he just refused to return any stray balls (should anyone dare to
: ask for them back!) Then one day the excess fun and laughter on his
: doorstep pushed Mr Woe over the edge. He decided to make life miserable
: for them all - to make his own entertainment at their expense and show
: them who was boss!

: Mister Woe's plan was simple and severe. First, he cast a terrible spell
: that turned all of Soccer Island's happy wildlife into cruel creatures.
: From that moment The League Of Monsters was born. He then instructed his
: Squad of felonious fiends to wreak havoc on the island, persecute its
: people, kidnap the inspirational superstars and - the cruellest blow of
: all - steal all the balls from the island!

: Soccer Island was plunged into misery and despair. The once happy,
: hyperactive islanders are reduced to sad, lifeless shells.

: But... deep in the heart of the Enchanted Forest lives Mabel, a dotty but
: delightful little old lady with mystical powers. Eventually word reached
: her about the island's predicament so she decided to help. Using her
: ancient craft she created a powerful spell to summon a saviour - someone
: with the strength, skills and spirit to save the day. For this hero she
: conjured up a magical ball - a ball that in the right hands (well, feet)
: could rid the island of the League of Monsters and the terrible Mister
: Woe for good!

: The smoke cleared and before Mabel stood a young boy, blinking, dazed and
: confused. One minute he was dreaming of playing for England - the next,
: he is playing for higher stakes the he could ever have imaged...
