__--__ Continuing its summer promotional campaign, Nintendo will __--__
--__-- be giving out more of its limited-edition Game Boy Advance--__--
__--__ SP with a Famicom color scheme. Now, though, the special __--__
--__-- handheld console will come with an additional bonus--a --__--
__--__ limited edition of Famicom's original 1985 Super Mario __--__
--__-- Brothers for the GBA. --__--
__--__ __--__
--__-- As part of a new contest called the "Hot Mario! Campaign,"--__--
__--__ Nintendo will be giving out 3,000 additional Famicom- __--__
--__-- themed Game Boy Advance SPs. Contestants can participate --__--
__--__ in the new campaign by purchasing two upcoming games from __--__
--__-- a list of titles selected by Nintendo, and signing up for --__--
__--__ the company's new "Club Nintendo" users program. The lucky__--__
--__-- winners of the Famicom-style GBA SPs will also receive --__--
__--__ Super Mario Brothers for free. __--__
--__-- --__--
__--__ Nintendo will also hand out 1,000 second prizes, a Mario __--__
--__-- Hat identical to the one seen in a recent Japanese TV --__--
__--__ commercial, where a member of the popular Japanese boy- __--__
--__-- band SMAP dresses up as Mario to plug Mario Kart: --__--
__--__ DoubleDash!!. __--__
--__-- --__--
__--__ The GameCube titles eligible for the Hot Mario! Campaign __--__
--__-- are: Mario Kart: DoubleDash!!, Pokemon Coliseum, R: Racing--__--
__--__ Revolution, Mario Party 5, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto: Gekitou __--__
--__-- Ninja Taisen!! 2, Baten Kaitos, Donkey Konga, One Piece --__--
__--__ Grand Battle! 3, and Harry Potter and the PhilosopherÆs __--__
--__-- Stone. The Game Boy Advance titles are: Mario & Luigi, --__--
__--__ F-Zero: Falcon Densetsu, Super Donkey Kong, and Bokujou __--__
--__-- Monogatari: Mineral Town no Nakamatachi for Girl. --__--
__--__ __--__
--__-- In this summer's Famicom campaign, the limited edition --__--
__--__ Game Boy Advance SP was given to 1,000 contestants to __--__
--__-- commemorate the Famicom's 20th anniversary. The Famicom --__--
__--__ is the original Japanese version of the console U.S. __--__
--__-- gamers know as the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). --__--
__--__ The color scheme of the limited edition GBA SP was based __--__
--__-- on the original red and white Famicom console, and came in--__--
__--__ a box that was based on the Famicom's original packaging. __--__
--__-- --__--
__--__ With heavy demand from old-school gamers in Japan, the __--__
--__-- Famicom-themed GBA SP has been appearing on auction sites --__--
__--__ since they were shipped to winners on the weekend, with __--__
--__-- bids currently running around 50,000 yen (about $460). --__--
